Fireproof Test

Fire resistance test of landing door.

On December 27, 2022, the "General Code for Building Fire Protection" (GB 55037-2022) was issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and has been implemented since June 1, 2023.

This code is a mandatory engineering construction code, and all provisions must be strictly implemented. Article 6.3.1 stipulates: "Elevator shafts shall be set independently, and no flammable gas or pipelines of Class A, B, or C liquids or wires or cables unrelated to the operation of the elevator shall be laid or passed through in the elevator shaft. The fire resistance integrity of the elevator landing door shall not be less than 2.00 h.

Applicable objects: metal elevator landing doors, glass elevator landing doors, and service elevator landing doors.

Test purpose: To verify the fire resistance performance of the elevator landing door such as integrity, heat insulation, and heat flux in a high-temperature environment.

Test basis: GB/T 24480-2009 "Fire Resistance Test of Elevator Landing Door - Determination of Leakage, Heat Insulation and Radiation", GB/T 27903-2011 "Fire Resistance Test of Elevator Landing Door - Determination of Integrity, Heat Insulation and Heat Flux", and BS476 (British standard for fire resistance test of building materials and components).

Test time: 2 h.
